Hello Halloween Veterans,
What happens when suspended jack-o-lanterns rot? This continues to be one of the most frequently asked questions. The answer might surprise you. It's really not that much different than when jack-o-lanterns are left out on the porch. The pumpkin begins to sag and smiles begin to droop. Sometimes it's just time to say goodbye to our creations. When you start to see mold, or when carvings sag, it's time to take your suspended jack-o-lanterns down. But what happens if you leave them up? Here is our friend Dragon Man. It took 14 days before he suffered the loss to time. The amount of time you will get depends upon many factors such as temperature, relative humidity, freshness of pumpkins, how you carved it and other factors. As you can see, Dragon Man got pretty soft before he fell. The drop appeared to be too much for him. His sacrifice will be remembered:)
